Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to enhance patient experience.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Support the dental team in various administrative tasks as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently.
Strong understanding of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
Familiarity with dental terminology, including knowledge of endodontics and pediatrics.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging while adhering to safety guidelines.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding relevant to dental practices.
Experience in four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient chairside assistance.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and supplies.
