Job Description
East Boca Raton Restorative/Cosmetic dental practice in need of a second Dental Assistant. Excellent opportunity for an experienced assistant in a 40 year old established fee for service practice. Must have professional references.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Assist the doctor with patient care as directed.
Prepare the operatory and seat patients for the doctor and hygienist. Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history.
Clean and sterilize/sanitize the operatory and equipment and change appropriate supplies after treatment of each patient.
Sterilize the instruments and set-up treatment trays.
Take high quality dental radiographs.
Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist.
Participate in inventory protocol to insure the office never runs out of necessary supplies.
Conduct routine maintenance/cleaning of dental equipment, including, but not limited to handpieces, Suction/Water filters and Traps, Lab Equipment, X-Ray Processor and Sterilization Equipment.
Must have a minimum 2 years experience, Radiology certification, excellent references, exceptional attitude and customer service skills. Experience with Softdent a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 â 32 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
No weekends
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Dental Assisting: 2 years (Preferred)
