Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry.
Experience with dental software such as Dentrix is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
Ability to perform basic dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient communication.
Knowledge of pediatrics is a plus for those working with younger patients.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are critical for managing multiple tasks effectively.
Good interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
