About the Job:
The Smile Shop is a growing, privately owned, general dentistry practice located in RTP that prioritizes quality patient care. We are currently seeking a full or part time dental assistant II to join our dynamic team. Our team is busy and system-oriented. The practice is very team-driven with an emphasis on collaboration versus working solo. We offer a friendly, caring work atmosphere, a flexible three to five-day work week along with competitive pay and benefits.
Primary Job Duties Include:

Assist with dental treatment chairside as instructed.
Detail oriented.
Take and record dental histories and patient records
Prepare instruments; clean treatment areas; sterilize equipment
Front Office Support, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, maintaining files, as needed
Responsible for patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized
Instruct patients in oral hygiene
Possess a current radiograph and coronal polishing certifications
Prefer a certificate in nitrous oxide training
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
Prioritize patient rapport and outstanding customer service
Show a strong respect for all of your coworkers, regardless of position
Are willing to abide by the practice’s protocols for patient care, room set up, and equipment sterilization
Have a thorough understanding of the importance of taking dental histories and maintaining accurate patient records
Have experience providing front office support, such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, and maintaining patient records
Can readily take instruction from the treating provider, and can adapt to different styles and requirements within a multi-provider practice

Your history likely shows:

+2 years’ experience in a dental practice
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to multi-task, take initiative and anticipate needs of others
Ability to project a positive, warm and professional image in person and on the phone

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 17 per week

Experience:

Open Dental practice management: 2 years (Preferred)
Dental assisting: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:
