Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in dental office management software. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling appointments to handling patient inquiries.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere in the reception area.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointment booking, confirmations, and reminders.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
Process patient information, including insurance verification and medical history.
Maintain organized patient files and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims (including Medicare).
Support the dental team by preparing necessary documentation for procedures and treatments.
Skills
Strong background in medical office management is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills to create a positive experience for patients.
Proficiency in eClinicalWorks, eaglesoft, or similar dental management software is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dental scheduling practices and CDT coding is a plus.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Attention to detail when handling patient records and information.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
