Dental Hygienist - Village Dental - Salt Lake City, UT

Overview:
Village Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team part time in the afternoons. We are open Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:00 and are looking for a Hygienist to work the afternoons from 1:30-5:00. Hygienists have one column of patients with hour long appointments. We have a great team and environment. Hours and days are flexible, with the opportunity for the position to become full time.
Hourly pay rate will be dependent on experience
Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays using Dexis imaging technology- Assess and record patients' oral health status- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as needed- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety- Update and maintain patient records using Open Dental- Collaborate with the dentist to develop treatment plans for patients
Requirements:
- A current Dental Hygienist license in Utah- Experience preferred- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification
