Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring patient comfort during their visits.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality radiographs as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system, including medical coding and terminology.
Assist the dentist during examinations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies, including familiarity with dental software systems.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of medical and dental terminology and experience with dental coding is preferred.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques is a plus.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Compensation : negotiable
Days of week/hours: Thursday 7:30 - 3:30
