Busy, well established dental practice (general & specialty) is looking for an outstanding Dental Hygienist. We are passionate about providing exceptional dental care and top notch customer service. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with patients that range from children to elders and while maintaining a calm, friendly & reassuring demeanor. Reliability is a must. Pay based on experience, schedule and benefit package.
Responsibilities

Patient screening procedures such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the healthy history, oral cancer screening, head & neck inspection, and taking blood pressure and pulse if needed.
Take digital x-rays.
Chart dental conditions based on dentist’s observations & evaluations.
Remove calculus & plaque (hard & soft deposits) from all surfaces of teeth; scaling & root planning, debridement, and perio maintenance.
Examine patient for periodontal disease.
Apply preventative materials such as sealants & fluorides to the teeth.
Teach patients appropriate nutrition & oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
Create & maintain accurate & timely documentation within electronic medical record.
Schedule appointments for recall/maintenance visits.
Sterilize dental instruments & tools.
Adhere to all OSHA, licensing and office policies.
Assist with other duties as needed.

Requirements

Current dental hygiene license (R.D.H.) &CPR certification.
Certification from OSHA, HIPPA & Infection Control.
Liability Insurance.
Up to date vaccinations as required.

Candidate must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task. Positive attitude, superior customer service and computer skills a must. Dentrix and/or Dexis experience a plus. Full-time, benefits available.
