OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical coding relevant to the field.

Skills

Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures.
Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and practices.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Understanding of dental terminology specific to procedures and treatments.
Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively in clinical settings.
Competence in patient assessment techniques for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar practice management software is preferred.
Knowledge of medical coding as it relates to dental services is advantageous.
