Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Decatur, IL
Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth- Conduct patient assessments and oral health screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Take dental x-rays and develop radiographs for diagnostic purposes- Maintain accurate patient records- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
Requirements:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in using dental software for patient management and medical coding- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and periodontal disease- Experience working with patients- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
