Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess and record patients' medical histories, vital signs, and oral health status.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Assist in the documentation review of patient records and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records using Dentrix software.
Provide care for pediatric dentistry patients with patience and understanding.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technology.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
Experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 per week
