OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, reliable and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting the dental team in providing high-quality care. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive the best possible treatment in a comfortable environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical history and conducting examinations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Administer fluoride treatments when needed.
Proficiency in digital x-rays including FMX
Assist the dentist during periodic dental exams
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient management and documentation.
Review dental coding for insurance purposes to ensure proper billing practices.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in a dental clinic setting.

Qualifications

Valid NH state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is preferred.
Knowledge of dental sterilization protocols and HIPAA standards.
Valid CRP certification
Nitrous oxide and dental anesthesia certifications preferred but not required.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Ability to perform documentation review effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members.
Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry standards.
