Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care within our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures, along with experience in a dental office setting. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their oral health is maintained and improved through professional cleaning, education, and support.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical records and taking vital signs as necessary.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient management and record keeping.
Assist in the development of treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including assisting with procedures when needed.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and terminology.
Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding and record keeping is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is advantageous but not mandatory.
