The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in our dental clinic.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures with precision.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Utilize aseptic techniques during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
Skills
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Proficiency in patient assessment and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Experience working in a dental office environment, particularly with pediatric patients is preferred.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
