Dental Clinical Assistant - Wendy K. Britt, DDS PLLC - Laurinburg, NC

Job Overview:We are a private dental practice in Laurinburg, looking for a friendly, hard-working, reliable full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing chairside assistance to the dentist, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and root canals- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts- Provide post-operative instructions and care to patients- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist with dental lab work as needed- Perform basic dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification from an accredited dental assisting program- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, systems, and aseptic technique- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Ability to perform patient assessment and record vital signs accurately
