ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE
DENTAL HYGIENIST
DEPARTMENT: Health Department - Healthy Beginnings
HIRING RANGE: $37.16-$41.26/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart Clinic Site
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting parents and children in attaining/maintaining optimum dental health, including providing dental education, assessing changes in dental health status, providing prophylaxis, and completing referrals for necessary dental procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree and completion of accredited Dental Hygiene school required
· 1-3 years of working experience as a dental hygienist preferred
· BILINGUAL SKILLS (ENGLISH/SPANISH) ARE STRONGLY PREFERRED
· Ability to properly operate computer and standard dental equipment
· Working knowledge of standard dental practices and procedures, statutes pertaining to dental practices/hygiene
· Work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment
· Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Pre-employment background check and TB test
