Our boutique, fee-for-service dental practice located in the heart of the West Village is looking for an experienced, personable, outgoing dental assistant. The position is full time and is required for 4 or 5 days per week INCLUDING some weekday evenings and one Saturday a month.
Responsibilities

Asisting our doctors and hygienists with a variety of chairside procedures.
Preparation and maintenance of operatories.
Preparation, maintenance and cleaning of all supplies required for procedures.
Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
Performing documentation and office management activities

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Assistant
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Familiar with Dentrix and Dexis Software.
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Valid license to practice

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 44 per week
