Job Description
Responsibilities:- Assist Dental Hygienists with patient care, room turnover and room set up.
- Assist the dentist/hygienist during dental procedures- Take and record patients' vital signs- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist/hygienist during procedures- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed- Assist with dental coding and billing- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
Requirements:- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience preferred but not required- Proficiency in dental software systems- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
