Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) dental assistant with at least 2 years of experience in the field to join our growing, high-tech dental practice. The ideal candidate will have completed the newly approved course, allowing them to perform expanded duties such as fillings, and be familiar with advanced technology like Solea Laser Dentistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including fillings, cleanings, crowns, and more.
Perform expanded duties such as placing fillings and other tasks as approved by the new certification.
Operate advanced dental technologies such as Solea Laser, digital X-rays, and other modern equipment.
Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the treatment process.
Sterilize and prepare instruments, ensuring a clean and safe environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Take accurate dental impressions and assist with other lab tasks.
Record treatment information and maintain accurate patient records.
Assist with patient education, explaining treatment plans and post-care instructions in both English and Spanish.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient experience.
Requirements:
Completed the approved dental assistant course with certification for expanded duties (including fillings).
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, sterilization techniques, and OSHA standards.
Familiarity with high-tech equipment, including Solea Laser, digital impressions, and CAD/CAM systems (training can be provided if necessary).
Excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care.
Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
