As a Dental Assistant, you will help support the clinical needs of this private practice's patients and doctor. Your daily primary duty will be to make each patient's experience the best part of their day while delivering great service and having fun! Roles and Responsibilities:
Chairside:

Greet patients and make them feel comfortable before treatment begins.
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Prepare the patient and treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring tools and materials are ready.
Ensure patient comfort by offering support and instructions.
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
Ensure all dental equipment is in good working order and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
Set up and break down treatment rooms between patients to ensure a smooth transition between appointments.

Radiology:

Take dental x-rays (Full set, bitewing and periapical) as required, following office safety protocols.
Ensure X-ray equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.

Sterilization & Infection Control:

Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sanitized and sterilized.
Disinfect treatment rooms and other areas of the office between patients.

Administrative Support:

Update patient records and assist with filing or documentation of treatment plans and notes.
Collaborate with the practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
Attend team meetings and continuing education sessions to stay current on dental techniques and office protocols.

Qualifications:

High school diploma of equivalent required; certification in dental assisting preferred. (e.g., CDA, RDA)
CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Expanded function and X-ray certification.
Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow instructions.
Strong communication skills with a compassionate and friendly demeanor.
Familiarity with dental software and patient record-keeping systems (Eaglesoft and Dexis in office).

Pay range is based on experience and job description is subject to change based on the needs of the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
