Our practice is growing, and we are in search for another enthusiastic hygienist to join our patient-focused team! The ideal candidate is a caring, friendly, and professional dental hygienist who cares and treats our patients like family. We pride ourselves on focusing on a healthy foundation for each patient and maintaining the small-town practice feel. We work together on diagnosing periodontal therapy and are up to date on current AAP guidelines. We believe that teamwork is imperative in maintaining a happy work environment and ensuring patients get the best care possible. We have dental hygienists who have been an integral part of our team for over 35 years (Dr. Bigg is the third owner).

Duties/Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet patients
Conduct initial oral screenings
Identify conditions such as periodontal diseases and gingivitis
Perform the appropriate oral hygiene procedure for each patient
Apply sealants and fluoride
Educating patients on oral hygiene
Sterilize dental instruments
Follow infection control standards
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Be a team player!

Must Haves:

Valid Rhode Island Dental Hygiene license
Prefer some knowledge in Dentrix (but if not, we will teach you!)
A valid CPR Card (subsequent training will be held at the practice and paid for)
Strong communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a positive attitude!

Hours: Mondays 8AM-5:30PM
Tuesdays 8AM-5:30PM
Thursdays 8AM-5:30PM
Fridays 9AM-2:30PM
*Hours are flexible, every other Wednesday also available.
*In February 2025 one of our long time and incredible hygienists is retiring. We are so sad to see her go but would love for you to join our team!
Pay: From $39 per hour depending on experience (negotiable) with an end of year bonus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 34 per week
