Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with patients to educate them about oral hygiene and assist in various dental procedures, including periodontal therapy, preventive services and enhancing patients understanding of restorative and effective treatment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar, apply fluoride and take radiographs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care activities accurately.
Assist in the development and implementation of infection control protocols within the dental office.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all instruments are sterilized according to safety standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Skills
Communication skills
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures.
Proficient understanding of infection control measures in a dental setting.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Familiarity of Eaglesoft dental software a plus
Ability to conduct thorough documentation reviews for accuracy in patient records.
Dental Hygiene Diploma. Valid license to practice
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour
