Job Description
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of dental terminology
Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
Skills in using dental instruments and equipment and performingdental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning
Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques,
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to manage time so can adequately treat patients but stilltreat the number of patients needed and in a timely manner
Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants andvolunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residentsof Marion County
Duties and Responsibilities-:Serve as a dental hygienist in the School BasedSealant program. Provide dental assessments, take pictures of inside of students mouth for teledentistry, educate students on oral hygieneprovide fluoride varnish treatments and dentalsealants.
Qualifications:Bi-lingual English/Spanish
Minimum-Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
Must have a current/active CPR certificate
