Position Overview:
Oak Hollow Family Dentistry is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and reliable Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a dental assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our dentists and hygienists while ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with Procedures: Support the dentist during patient treatments, including preparing and sterilizing equipment, passing instruments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Patient Care: Greet and comfort patients before, during, and after dental procedures. Provide instructions to patients regarding post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
X-Rays and Imaging: Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and assist with the development of images for diagnosis.
Infection Control: Ensure proper sterilization and infection control procedures are followed in compliance with OSHA and dental regulations.
Dental Materials Management: Prepare and mix dental materials (such as fillings, impressions, etc.) and ensure proper inventory management.
Office Support: Maintain patient records, assist with scheduling appointments, and perform other office-related administrative tasks as needed.
Patient Education: Educate patients on their dental health, recommend appropriate oral care products, and provide treatment options as directed by the dentist.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienists, and office staff to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required. Certification and/or formal training in dental assisting is a plus.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a strong commitment to patient care. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Licenses/Certifications: Dental Assistant certification, CPR certification, and radiology certification (if required by state law). Additional certifications such as expanded functions or coronal polishing are a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, assist with patients in a clinical setting, and handle dental instruments and equipment.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
