Job Description
Dental Assistant
Responsibilities:
Assist with administrative tasks in the office.
Explain treatment plans clearly and in an organized fashion.
Fabricate temporary crowns in a timely manor.
Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for appointments.
Prepare patient for examination and/or treatment.
Prepare dental materials for dental procedures.
Prepare patients for x-rays.
Operate dental x-ray machines, computerized intra-oral cameras, and related dental devices.
Sterilize dental instruments according to office guidelines.
Dispose of hazardous waste according to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Assist dentist in positioning patients for diagnostic imaging procedures such as panoramic x-rays and CT scans.
Discuss financial agreements with patients.
Help ensure patient comfort during treatment.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
