Dental Hygienist - Drs. Tatum and Cox - Opelika, AL

_ Hourly wages $28-34 depending on experience!_
Our amazing team is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about treating patients and promoting good oral health practices. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting initial patient screenings, providing preventative and prophylactic care, and discussing the doctor’s recommended treatment with patients. We have a wonderful patient basis and the excellent care we provide continues to build long term relationships. Building a cohesive team is our number one goal outside of exceptional patient care!
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Perform dental cleanings
Help identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail

License/Certification:

Diploma or certification in Dental Hygiene
Valid Alabama Hygiene License
CPR Certification

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
