Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures by ensuring a sterile environment, assisting the dentist during treatments, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires proficiency in various dental techniques and terminology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment prior to dental procedures.
Take and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed during treatments.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns.
Support the dental team in managing the workflow of the clinic, including patient scheduling and follow-up care.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dental assisting role, preferably within a surgical setting.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with endodontics and other specialized dental procedures is preferred.
Proficiency in using 3D scanners and other dental technology.
Ability to demonstrate excellent aseptic technique at all times.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy clinic environment.
Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable.

Pay: $23.31 - $24.51 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
