We are a growing dental practice in Kahului, HI looking for a competent long term dental hygiene assistant who will be responsible for providing support to our growing dental team. Youâll be working with a hygienist this is an entry level position with no prior experience needed as we are willing to train the right willing individual
Skills
Proven experience in customer service
Understanding of health & safety regulations (will train)
Ability to learn and perform diverse tasks like charting, phasing, filing, x-ray taking and cleaning
Good computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Job Duties (will train):
Assist the hygienist through all cleaning procedures.
Take digital radiographs of the mouth (child, adult, and mixed).
Prepare and clean the room for treatment.
Sterilize instruments and prepare equipment for treatment.
Assist with prepping materials for treatment.
Perform office tasks like answering phones, scheduling appointments, and making appointments.
Keeps the room clean and orderly.
Maintain inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
Hours:
Monday through Friday 7:45am to 5:15pm (will work 4 days and have 1 day off)
Saturday 7:15am to 2:15pm* (required work day for all employees)
Sundays - we are closed on Sundays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 â 40 per week
