Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for children.
Operate dental technology to assist in treatment planning.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of dental terminology.
Experience with Dentrix software for patient management is a mandatory.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols within a dental setting.
Ability to take X-rays safely and accurately.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of dental receptionist duties is beneficial.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
