Job Description

Windsor Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to work 4 to 5 days a week in our Windsor office. A pediatric dental office offers a dynamic work experience and requires someone to be flexible and able to adapt to an ever changing environment. The Dental Assistant will greet patients and their caregivers in a friendly, enthusiastic yet comforting manner. They will also administer care, oral hygiene instruction, complete radiographs and perform basic and moderately complex dental procedures and assist the dentist in providing exceptional care to each and every patient.
Responsibilities and Duties
Greet and prepare patients for treatment in a timely and professional way
Update health histories and help with charting
Polishing teeth to remove stains and soft deposits and discuss oral hygiene instruction
Make quality radiographs
Take dental impression, pour and trim
Assist the dentist in four-handed dentistry
Sterilize and prepare instruments
Prepare proper tray setups prior to dental procedures
Disinfect and prepare treatment rooms
Qualifications and Skills
Education/Certifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certified
Dental Assistant Certification
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications:
Expanded functions preferred
One or more years of experience as a dental assistant preferred
Skills/Abilities:
Superior customer service skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
Good computer skills and a willingness to learn new programs
Well organized and detail oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
