About Us: We are a 1 year old, exciting, new, modern and patient-focused dental practice dedicated to delivering exceptional care. We pride ourselves on providing a positive and welcoming environment for both our patients and our team. Our office is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join us in a dual-role position as both a Dental Assistant and Dental Office Receptionist. This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Position Overview: This role will require you to wear two hats: assisting in the back office with clinical duties as a Dental Assistant, and managing front office responsibilities as a Receptionist. You will be an essential part of our team, helping with patient care, insurance verifications, billing, and treatment plan presentations, while also ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Responsibilities (Receptionist):
Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Verify insurance information and perform insurance verifications
Process insurance claims and assist with billing inquiries
Present treatment plans to patients and assist with financial discussions
Maintain patient records and update as necessary
Assist with patient communications and follow-up reminders
Back Office Responsibilities (Dental Assistant):
Assist with chairside dental procedures and provide support to the dentist
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
Take and process x-rays, and ensure patient comfort during procedures
Prepare materials for procedures (e.g., impressions, molds, etc.)
Provide post-treatment instructions and care to patients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the back office
Help keep track & stock of inventory
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, but not required
Previous experience in a dental office, ideally with both clinical and front-office responsibilities
Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
Knowledge of insurance verification, billing, and treatment plan presentations
Proficient in dental office software (experience with [insert specific software, if any] a plus)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care
