Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome and Comfort Patients: Greet patients with a warm, friendly attitude and help them feel at ease as you seat them for treatment.
Prepare Patients for Treatment: Ensure patients are comfortably settled and ready for their procedure, making them feel cared for and supported.
Set Up Treatment Areas: Select and prepare the necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure, ensuring everything is ready and organized.
Sterilize Instruments and Ensure Compliance with Infection Control: Follow all safety protocols to sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side support during procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatments.
Complete Lab Tasks: Assist with basic laboratory duties, such as mixing materials and pouring impressions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Educate Patients on Oral Hygiene: Take the time to educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, empowering them to maintain their health and improve their smile.
Maintain Clean and Organized Operatories: Keep treatment areas clean, stocked, and well-maintained, ensuring a welcoming space for patients and staff alike.
Schedule Appointments: Assist with scheduling future appointments, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and helping to keep the office running smoothly.
Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurately documented, assisting with payment procedures as needed.
Non-Surgical Task Proficiency: The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, is a PLUS.
Computer Skills: Comfortable using dental software (we are here to help you) to manage patient records, appointments, and office tasks.
Communication & People Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with patients and team members, ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 â 40 per week
