Job Overview
Weâre seeking a multi-talented Dental Staff member to join our team! If you're reliable, friendly, and eager to expand your knowledge of dentistry, we want to meet you. In this role, you'll assist our dentists chairside during procedures and handle back-office tasks, including setting up for treatments, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining clean treatment rooms.
Youâll also receive training in some front desk responsibilities, such as answering phones, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and printing walkout or insurance statements. You will be trained in both areas.
This position is Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a flexible schedule based on patient needs.
Dental Assisting responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Greet and interact with all of our patients respectfully and professional
Chairside assisting
Maintaining cleanliness of laboratory/sterilization area
Comply with HIPPA and OSHA protocols
Proper disposal of all sharps and biohazard materials
Taking x-rays and photos
Breaking down and setting up operatories properly
Maintaining sterilization and handling of all instruments and equipment
Maintaining laboratory cases
Maintain cleanliness of the back office
Font Desk responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Greet and interact with all of our patients respectfully and professional
Maintaining cleanliness of the front desk, waiting room and restroom area
Comply with HIPPA and OSHA protocols
Answering phones
Responding to emails and voicemails
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Confirming Insurances
Reviewing treatment plans and insurance benefits with patients
Collecting co-pays
Maintaining a productive schedule
Requirements
Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a dental office setting.
Familiarity with dental administrative support tasks, including scheduling and record management.
Knowledge of dental coding is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in office software applications for documentation review.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 â 32 per week
