Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Perform basic laboratory tasks, including impressions and models when necessary.
Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
SkillsThe successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile working environment.
Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to general dentistry practices.
Experience with four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Knowledge of 3D scanning technology for advanced dental imaging.
Understanding of endodontics procedures and techniques.
Ability to accurately monitor and record vital signs.
Proficient in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
Strong assisting skills with a focus on patient comfort and care.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
