Job Description
Our dental practice is seeking a team-oriented, versatile and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team but new grads are welcome. The position performs routine and complex dental procedures under the supervision of a dental professional. This position is created to promote the well-being of our patients through preventive care and general dentistry services. Ideal candidates for this position are passionate about patient comfort, experience working in a fast-paced environment, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Clean polish teeth and prevent cavities with home care instructions.
Keep a record of patient information.
Clean and sanitize instruments, stock storage cabinets, and treatment areas.
Communicate with patients about dental procedures and instructions.
Assist patients in selecting appropriate dental care.
Administer basic dental care such as polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, applying sealants, and taking impressions.
Handle emergencies and do other technical tasks as necessary.
Qualifications- Chairside assisting experience- Proficiency in dental terminology and software.- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology- Familiarity with all general dentistry procedures.- Skilled in taking impressions, pouring models, Polishing teeth efficiently.- Experience with Dentrix software systems and HIPAA regulations- Ability to perform dental assitant duties- Familiarity with Dexis digital X-Ray imaging.- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
