Job Description

Dental hygienist needed for busy pediatric and general dental office in Bridgewater. We have been serving our community for over 20 years.
We are looking for a candidate to work Monday 10-8, Wednesday 8-5. Our practice is actively growing and the position could grow into a full time position over time.

Responsibilities:
Adult patients are given generally a 45 minute appointment and pediatric patients are given half an hour
Conduct thorough and comprehensive oral evaluations to identify dental conditions and oral health issues
Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
Review patients' medical histories, noting any pre-existing conditions or allergies that may affect dental treatments
Take dental x-rays as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral care instructions
Detect and report any signs of oral diseases, such as cavities, gingivitis, or oral cancer
Apply preventative measures, such as dental sealants or fluorides, to protect patients' teeth
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients' oral care needs
Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
Document patients' dental care by accurately recording all treatments, diagnoses, and recommendations in their charts
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
