OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and record vital signs, medical history, and any relevant information for patient records.
Utilize Eaglesoft dental software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Assist in medical coding and documentation of procedures performed during visits.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring that children feel comfortable during their visits.
Conduct medical imaging as needed to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Proficiency in medical coding, dental terminology, and managing medical records.
Familiarity with dental software systems (Eaglesoft) is preferred.
Knowledge of vital signs assessment and infection control standards.
Experience assisting in various dental procedures is an advantage.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices.
