Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, a strong understanding of infection control protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental office systems.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in general dentistry is preferred; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with Dentrix software.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is advantageous.
