Responsibilities:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement- Take and develop dental x-rays- Assess patients' oral health and report any abnormalities or concerns to the dentist- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as needed- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Qualifications:- Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of MA- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health systems, and dental assisting techniques- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required- Familiarity with medical imaging software for capturing and analyzing dental x-rays- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices effectively- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
