OverviewWe are a well-established Pediatric/Orthodontic dental practice seeking a dedicated, skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. This position is available for immediate coverage during medical leave, with potential for a permanent role. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients about oral hygiene, and collaborating with the dental team to promote overall health.
Duties- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.- Administer dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments as needed.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.- Assist in the documentation of patient records, medical terminology relevant to treatment plans.- Utilize medical imaging techniques (e.g., X-rays) to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.- Maintain an aseptic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
Licensed Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts
CPR Certified
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
