Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Provide education to patients on oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with clinic protocols.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Participate in pediatric dentistry practices, ensuring that children receive appropriate care in a friendly manner.
Skills
Proficient in working within a dental office environment, demonstrating familiarity with dental procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental treatments is preferred.
Strong skills in patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the treatment process.
Experience in general dentistry practices, with the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
Familiarity with documentation review processes to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Eaglesoft knowledge helpful, but not required
Anesthesia certification helpful, but not required
