Job Description
Mid-Valley Dental Associates is a small company of nine dental locations located in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley. We are seeking a full-time and a part-time dental hygienist to work at our Alder Dental Group location in Tigard, Monday through Thursday, who are passionate about helping others and interested in working in a patient-focused, team-oriented environment to grow your career and sharpen your skills. We offer a supportive, positive, team-centered working environment. Prior experience is not required, and we will provide you with hands-on training and all of the resources you need to succeed. We are currently offering a sign on bonus of $1000 to be paid in three installments (1/3 at sign on, 1/3 at 3 months and 1/3 at 6 months of employment) *Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and debridement- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and proper dental care- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings- Assist the dentist during recall examinations- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficient in using dental software systems for patient management and charting- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
