Job Description
Premier Dental Care is a single doctor, general dentistry office that is currently looking for a Dental Hygienist. Our office ours are Monday - Thursday at our office located in Fishkill, New York. We are a family oriented dental practice with state of the art equipment and environment that value the wonderful staff we have and are looking to add another valued employee. Experience not required - but a dental hygiene license is a must. Pay will be discussed in person and is based on experience.
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Ideally the candidate should be versed in dental hygiene procedures and soft tissue management and be able to distinguish what is the best treatment for the patient along with the assistance of the dentist.
Job Responsibility
Performs all duties permitted by New York State Law for a dental hygienist including, but not limited to, prophylaxis and scaling; topical fluoride application; taking medical history; charting cases and periodontal conditions as an aid to treatment by the dentist etc.
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Clean and help protect patientsââ¬â¢ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Obtain diagnostic quality images with sensors and I/O camera
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation on each patient with electronic records
Monitor supplies

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
