Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental software systems. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques at all times.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures when required.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control measures.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Understanding of medical coding and medical terminology is advantageous.
Ability to perform medical imaging effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient education.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: $40.00 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
