Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.
Duties:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments- Take and develop dental x-rays- Conduct patient assessments and oral health screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care recommendations- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
Experience:- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Dental Hygienist- In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options- Proficiency in using dental office software such as CAD, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures- Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
Skills:- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients- Excellent manual dexterity for performing precise dental procedures- Ability to assess vital signs and recognize any abnormalities or concerns- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques to support the dentist during procedures
