Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through preventive care and education. You will work closely with dentists and other staff members to create a comfortable and efficient environment for our patients.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Conduct screenings for oral diseases and document findings accurately.
Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed and perform medical imaging procedures.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation, scheduling, and record management.
Collaborate with the dental team in general dentistry practices, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Review patient documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before procedures.

Skills

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
Experience in a dental office setting, particularly with pediatrics, is preferred.
Proficiency in infection control measures to maintain a sterile environment.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Excellent documentation skills for accurate patient record keeping.
Ability to assist dentists effectively during procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Strong communication skills to educate patients about their oral health needs.
