Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in various aspects of dental hygiene. This role involves working closely with patients to provide exceptional oral health care and education, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience during their visits.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
Document patient care accurately in Dentrix or other dental software systems.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and procedures.
ExperienceCandidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Pediatric dentistry for working with younger patients.
Four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
General dentistry practices to provide comprehensive care.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental health.
Strong understanding of anatomy as it pertains to oral health.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
A commitment to providing excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
