Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Hygienist for an opportunity for a long-term temp position in our Manhattan and Redondo Beach offices.

March 20th- July 4th

Tuesday MB: 8am- 5pm

Wednesday RB: 7:30am-4:30pm

Thursday MB: 8am - 5pm

Friday 7:30am -4:30pm

Responsibilities

 Educate patients on the condition of their mouths, periodontal disease, and their overall health
 Update patients’ medical history, record blood pressure, uncover any new conditions, etc. Perform a comprehensive periodontal evaluation including probe depths, bleeding points, recessions, mobility, furcation, etc. Use “Standards of Care” and as guidelines. Chart any progress/decline and advise the patient.
 Identify failing dental restorations, decay and/or open contact.
 Intraoral camera
 Perform oral prophylaxis, polish and educate patients on home care instructions.
 Perform periodontal treatment, SRPs and anesthetize patients
 Discuss any unscheduled treatment with patients
 Advise the Doctor when a patient is ready for exam. Inform the Doctor of the patient’s periodontal score, what was completed during the visit, any unfinished treatments, recall intervals and any medical/personal concerns the patient may have.
 Schedule patients for a future continuing care appointment, emphasizing the need for continuous care and the recommended next appointment interval
