Job Description

We are a general dentistry office seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team! We have been in business for over 10 years and we strive to create an office where not only patients look forward to visiting, but also an environment where staff enjoys coming to work! We work with patients ages 12 years and up and accept only PPO and Medicare insurance. (No Medicaid/HMOs). The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English/Spanish and enjoy working within a small team of compassionate and hard-working individuals.
Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings (e.g. prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, SRP, FMS, etc.)
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Identify conditions like gingivitis, periodontitis and provide proper documentation like clinical notes and perio charting
Educate patients on proper teeth care
Take X-rays
Monitor supplies
Assist in scheduling recall appointments when necessary

Requirements

A compassionate and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Valid license to practice
Basic knowledge of dental insurance (we can provide further training if needed)

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish due to our community's high concentration of the Latin population.
In addition to an hourly rate, we provide commission for services rendered as well as for sales products like electric tooth brushes. Additional production bonuses are available as well!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
