Dental Hygienist - ENKIN FAMILY DENTAL, PLLC - Gloucester, MA

We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and diligent full time/part-time Dental Hygienist for our growing practice! We strive to create a calm, inviting atmosphere to work in so that you will be able to focus on patient care. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with excellent chair-side manner!
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Perform Scaling/Root Planing procedures.
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give home care instructions to patients after prophy/scaling procedures
Take X-rays
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies

Skills

Valid MA Dental Hygienist license
CPR/Radiology certified
Prior work experience is recommended, but not necessary.
Certification in administering local anesthetic is recommended, but not necessary.
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality!
